Russian Seasons Peresvet Resort meets Olympic champions

On August thirteenth, on the territory of the Russian Seasons Resort Peresvet, the governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov, together with the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin, thanked the athletes and coaches from Moscow for the high results achieved at the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The ceremony was held in a new tent by the lake with a panoramic terrace for 200 people.

At the Olympics, the Russian national team won 71 medals. Of these, 21 are on the account of athletes representing the Moscow region. Athletes and coaches were awarded regional awards for their achievements.

The Order of Merit for the Moscow Region, I degree, was awarded to Evgeny Rylov from the Leninsky City District. In Tokyo, he won 2 gold and a silver medal. Evgeny became the first Russian athlete in a quarter of a century to win the Olympics in backstroke swimming.

The Order of Merit for the Moscow Region of the III degree was awarded to: gold medalist in wrestling Zavur Uguyev, gold medalist in athletics Maria Lasitskene, silver medalist in swimming Ivan Girev, silver medalists in 3x3 basketball Alexander Zuev and Stanislav Sharov, silver medalist in fencing Sergey Khodos, silver medalist in rhythmic gymnastics Angelina Shkatova, bronze medalists in diving Alexander Bondar and Viktor Minibaev, bronze medalist in wrestling Sergey Emelin, bronze medalist in boxing Zenfira Magomedalieva, Honored Coach of Russia in swimming Andrey Shishin, Honored Coach of Russia in athletics Gennady Gabrilyan, Honored coach of Russia in wrestling Islam Kalaev, Honored coach of Russia in Rhythmic gymnastics Anna Dyachenko, Master of Sports of Russia in fencing Vasily Skornevsky, swimming coach Irina Avdeeva, Honored coach of Russia in diving Svetlana Moiseeva, Honored coach of Russia in boxing Gennady Ryzhikov, boxing coach Evgeny Tkachenko, diving coach Olga Feoktistova, Master of Sports of Russia in wrestling Armen Grigoryan.

The Order of St. Sergius of Radonezh was awarded to: silver medalist in rhythmic gymnastics Anastasia Tatareva, bronze medalist in boxing Andrey Zamkova.

The athletes also received cash prizes and memorable gifts - branded bicycles "Summer in the Moscow region".
